Remote Learning
Remote Learning at St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School
At St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, we are committed to ensuring that high-quality learning continues for all pupils when they are unable to attend school in person. In line with Department for Education (DfE) guidance, we provide a structured and consistent remote learning offer which closely mirrors the teaching and learning that would normally take place in the classroom.
Our remote learning provision is delivered primarily through Seesaw, which is our main online learning platform. Teachers upload daily lessons, activities, resources, and feedback through Seesaw, enabling pupils to access learning, submit work, and receive support from their class teacher. Parents and carers can also view their child’s work and communications via the platform.

In addition to Seesaw, we use the following high-quality, nationally recognised platforms to enhance and support learning:
Oak National Academy
Oak National Academy provides a large library of teacher-led video lessons and resources across the full primary curriculum. These lessons are carefully sequenced, aligned to the national curriculum, and can be used to support whole-class teaching or individual learning where appropriate.

Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRS)
Times Tables Rock Stars is used to support the rapid recall of multiplication and division facts. Pupils can access personalised practice activities and games to strengthen fluency in times tables, which is an essential foundation for success in mathematics.
