World Book Day 2023

WBD at St Joseph's this year was spread across two days. On Thursday the children came to school covered in vocabulary that described their chosen book character. We used the vocabulary to write descriptive sentences and plan our character descriptions. Thursday afterschool the children were able to return to school dressed in their costume ready to dance at the WBD disco organised by the PTA. On Friday the children came into school dressed as their characters and wrote some fantastic character descriptions. In the afternoon, we came together to create this amazing photograph! 

World Book Day 2022

We were very lucky at St Joseph's on World Book Day as we had a special visitor! Local author and illustrator Melly Dolittle joined us to talk about her newest publication and host a cartoon drawing workshop.
