Head Boy & Head Girl Welcome
Hello, we are Meadow and Blake, Head Girl and Boy at St. Joseph's Catholic Primary 2024 - 25
We are here to give you a warm and pleasant welcome to our school. We are honoured to have this role and share with you our experience at our school. We enjoy learning and getting to join in with the variety of experiences this school has to offer.
One of our favourite trips was the residential we went on earlier in the year. It was a 5-day holiday with the school that had delicious dinners, thrilling activities and made our friendships stronger.
At this school our teachers organise lots of PE activities with specialist coaches, cinema trips just to name a few. They let us have a wide range of activities that really engage everyone at school no matter their ability. The teachers here really try and make the school different and even better for the next generation of St. Joseph's children.
As Head Girl and Head Boy we work very closely with Mrs. Golding (Head teacher) and the members of the PTA to come up with ideas to make the school a better place. It is great to be heard!
One of our favourite subjects is History; our curriculum covers things from the Roman Empire to World War Two. We both really enjoyed studying World War Two as our teachers made it exciting and very enjoyable, for example we listened to stories of people who have survived the war and we had to re- enact what it was like.
At St. Joseph’s everyone is kind and caring, all the students get along and work together. An example of this is when the whole school decorated flags to represent Harwich. We all had to work together to come up with ideas. We also do this within our school groups: Liturgy, School Council, Eco Warriors and Diversity Champions, where we come together in different age groups to discuss things we want to do to support the school.
When you are at St. Joseph's you do not need to worry at all, there will always be a pupil or a member of staff there to help you. All you need to do is just be yourself!
Again, we both feel incredibly honoured to have this role and to have been students St. Joseph's Catholic Primary since reception so we know the school well.
