Head Boy & Head Girl Welcome
Hello, we are Gracie and Thorin, Head Girl and Boy at St. Joseph's Catholic Primary 2025 - 26

Hello, my name is Gracie, and I am Head Girl at St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School. I was very pleased to be appointed Head Girl at St. Joseph’s and feel extremely grateful to be able to fulfil the role.
We are a very welcoming school, and all the children are extremely happy. We have lots of fun and exciting events that happen all year round, these include our Summer Fete, Christmas Bazaar, School Trips are just to name a few, but there are lots, lots more for the children to enjoy and be part of.
At St Joseph’s we have visitors who take time out to deliver assembly’s and activities. We as a school are very lucky to have Mrs. Scarfe to teach us about our beach environment which includes classes each term being able to head down the road to attend ‘Beach School’.
Our Teachers also lay on a variety of ‘After School Clubs’, these can include, Art, Lego, Maths, Running and one of my favourite clubs for many years, has been ‘dance club’ with Mrs. Campbell – this club allows for us to perform at our Summer Fete. We also have a football club for both boys and girls which can lead to representing the school football team. Fortunately, I have been able to do so which was a real hi-light for me in the past year.
My three favourite subjects are: Maths, P.E and Art. Maths is my favourite because I have really enjoyed attempting the mock SATS papers and I love to the complete the Maths games that Mr. Higgins sets us.
Thank you for taking time to read my post, please come and look at what St Joseph’s has to offer, Thorin and I would have great pleasure showing you around our wonderful little school
Thank you.
Gracie

Hello, I am Thorin, the Head Boy of St. Joseph's Catholic Primary School 2025 - 2026. I am here to give you a warm welcome to our school. If you have any questions, I will be there to help. I am very grateful for the privilege of being Head Boy, as it is such a crucial role.
Here at St. Joseph's, we learn from our mistakes and are always honest. In this school, we support each other and ensure that all students follow the St. Joseph's way.
One of the best experiences I've ever been on, was the residential trip, which was a whale of a time. They had cozy beds, amazing food and lots of fun activities. Some other trips were to the waterpark, cinema, PE with trained coaches and to the zoo. Huh! Sounds like a lot of fun I know. It all really wouldn't of happened if it wasn't for the teachers and Mrs. Golding (Headteacher).
Lately, Mrs. Golding built a sensory room for people with any disability including: SEND, Autism, ADHA or even if they just need to calm down. In every classroom you will find a reading corner and a prayer focus to remember that God is always with us. There is a candle used in RE and used during collective worship, to show that 'Jesus is the light of the world'.
We have so many amazing events like; the MacMillan cake sale, Mother's Day breakfast, Christmas Bazaar and the most hilarious event was, 'I'm a Teacher Get Me Out Of Here'!
Once again, thank you all for your kind attention.
Thorin
