Mid-year Admissions
From 1st April 2022 St Joseph's Primary School are responisble for Mid-Year admissions. Please contact our school on 01255 503493 for further information regarding places. Please complete the Mid-Year application form and return this to Mrs Colley at St Joseph's School.

Admission Appeal hearings for St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School will therefore be held virtually using Zoom until further notice.
Reception 2025/2026 Application Process
15 January 2025 – CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS
Last day for receipt of the Common Application Form, either paper or online, to the Local Education Authority (Essex County Council). Your Supplementary Information Form, (SIF) and a copy of Birth and Baptism certificates must also be sent to St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School by this date. Please be aware that all Baptism’s are checked with the relevant Church and we will contact you should there be a discrepancy
Applications received after this date will be treated as late.
16th April 2025 NATIONAL OFFER DATE
Offer letter sent to all Essex resident applicants by the Local Authority. An email will also be sent to those who applied online confirming the outcome of their application.
15th May 2025 DEADLINE FOR LODGING AN APPEAL
The latest date for parents to lodge an appeal against a refusal of a place if you want the hearing to take place before the end of the summer term.
Tuesday 1st July 2025 APPEALS HEARINGS
Appeals for applications made within the normal admissions round will be held within 40 school days of the above deadline. Appeals for late applications will be heard where possible within 40 school days of the above deadline or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged
Appeals lodged by parents/carers this year in relation to refusal of a place at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School will be held virtually (via Zoom).
September 2025 onwards
Appeal hearings for any appeals not heard before the end of the summer term.
WAITING LISTS
The waiting list for St Joseph’s School is held and maintained by the Local Authority until August 31st. Following that date, the waiting list will be maintained by St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School
