  • Key Worker Status- evidence required

Wed 25 Mar 2020 Mrs Maguire
Please be advised as directed to by Essex Local Authority we are now requiring proof of key-worker status.  If you have been using our emergency child care you will have been advised of this already, if however you will be using for the first time in the coming weeks you will need to bring with you a letter confirming your key-worker status on the first day that emergency childcare is required.  This would be applicable to both parents.  This is further explained in two letters that will be published online later today.

  • Message regarding Coronavirus

    Mon 16 Mar 2020

One of our families has been advised to go into self isolation for 7 days due to an UNCONFIRMED case of Covid-19 Coronavirus within their family.

This is NOT a St Joseph’s pupil

The advice from the Dept of Education and Public Health England is:

Outside those that are defined as close contacts, the rest of the school does not need to take any precautions or make any changes to their own activities, attending educational establishments or work as usual.  This advice applies to teaching staff and children in the rest of the class.

As such, please be advised that we are following all the Local Authority and DfE/PHE advice and school will remain open as usual.

  • Coronavirus

    Thu 12 Mar 2020

We are continuing to follow advice from Public Health England in respect of Coronavirus.

We have not been put on alert to close and at present we have no plans to close the school for any additional time.

We are working closely with the Local Authority and if we are advised differently by Public Health England and the Department for Education to close, we will inform parents and carers immediately.
