Helping your child prepare for Year 5

We look forward to welcoming your child joining us in Class 4.

Class 4 adults are:

Mrs. Wheeler and Mrs. Golding  - Class Teacher and Mrs. Owen - LSA.

Class 4 is a happy, busy class room. The children enjoy being at the "top" end of the school and we like their behaviour and efforts to set a shining example to younger pupils. Many of our daily routines ( such as reading ) will already be familiar and pupils will continue to have spellings to learn and the opportunity to do weekly set homework.

Please ensure your child has their reading book and signed record with them each day. We ask that they read at home daily and that you sign their record.

PE kit should be named and on their peg. We would encourage you to name all uniform as we still end up with unclaimed items even in Class 4!

As is school policy, any mobile phones coming into school must be handed in to the class teacher at the start of the day.

Water only may be brought in and a healthy snack for break, if desired.

If your child has an issue with the set homework we politely request they speak to one of the adults who will offer support.

Please do not hesitate to speak to one of us if there is something we can help you with.
