https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ss-azuApvA0 - Count backwards from 100!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UD_RUVLPvTY - Let's all do the 10 dance.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvbWuiYn-Uk - Making10.

Monday: Number bonds to 10 - Number bonds are also often referred to as 'number pairs'. They are simply the pairs of numbers that make up a given number for example, 1 + 9 = 10, 2 + 8 = 10, 3 + 7 = 10, 4 + 6 = 10 etc They can be reversed too 10 + 0 = 10, 9 + 1 = 10, 2 + 8 = 10.

All children - Please explain this to your child modelling with your hands/fingers, encourage your child to join in.

Tuesday: Today you will need 10 small identical objects (lego bricks, pasta, buttons etc) and a small bowl/hoop

All children – Try throwing all objects at the same time (you may have to throw 5, then the other 5) into bowl/hoop… how many land inside? How many land outside? Explain to your child this is a number to 10. Repeat activity few times.

Wednesday:

All children – Repeat yesterday’s activity this time writing the corresponding number sentences.

Thursday:

All children – Child to write in list form all the ways to make number bonds to 10. (Reception children please write as many as you can, your adult may help)

0 + 10  = 10

1 + 9 = 10

2 + 8 = 10 …. All the way to 10 + 0 = 10.

Now look closely at the number patterns going down the left and right hand sides, what do you notice?

Friday:

All children – Please recap all of this week’s learning. Next ask your adult to time you for 30 seconds, from memory how many number bonds to 10 can you shout out.
