Monday read your book for 15 minutes and then complete these tasks.

Pick 3 descriptive words from the text, write them down and explain why you think the author used them. Then make up 3 questions you would use to check someone has read the book carefully.  Finally find words you don’t understand in the story, write down their meanings from a dictionary.

Tuesday read your book for 15 minutes and then complete these tasks.

Draw a picture of one of the main characters. Write a thought bubble for the character to show what they are thinking at a certain point in the story.  Then draw a picture of one of the settings in the book;  write a descriptive paragraph about it .  Remember expanded noun phrases, exciting word choices, can you include a metaphor?

Wednesday read your book for 15 minutes and then complete these tasks.

Write a letter to the main character in the story telling them what other characters think of them, make sure you use examples from what you have read so far. 

Thursday read your book for 15 minutes and then complete these tasks.

Write a new blurb for the back of the book, remember you want to leave the reader wanting more, don't spoil the ending!

Friday, read for 15 minutes and then complete the book review
