Reading Scheme Books
If you require a new set of reading scheme books for your child please contact us to let us know which colour band you need. A book bundle will then be prepared and named for you to collect from the foyer by prior arrangement. Please return current books to the 'Quarantine Box.'
Last week, as well as our usual learning, we got to stretch our muscles using the parachute (sanitised and aired thoroughly for 72hours after use). We were VERY lucky on Wednesday, Essex Ice's visited us.

As well as all of our other learning this week, we have been doing lots of hands on 'stuff'... keeping an eye on our bug hotel, which, now has some inhabitants! We have been tidying our outside area and making 3D minibeasts!

In Class 1 this week we have been learning about minibeasts. We made our very own Class bug hotel, it is in the orchard and we are going to investigate and observe any changes that have happened to it over the weekend next week. We went on a bug hunt and have been learning about odd and even numbers and numberbonds to 20. Thats just a little of what we have done!! Yesterday we even had ice lollies to cool us down!!

Super ornithology! Busy making his very own bird house, identifying and keeping a record of the different types of birds that have visited. And A BIG happy birthday shout out to Tymek, he was 5 this week, we hope you had a wonderful day!
A busy week has been had in Class 1...letter formation, origami boats, number bonds, reading, music and lots more!
A wonderful sea creation....with a story too!! Fabulous phonics, spellings and very detailed sea creatures. Someone got a bit hungry and decided to make a fruit CRAB!! I hope it tasted nice. Some addition too... Well done everyone!
This is what we have been upto in Class 1, most of the time we are outside. Sometimes we have lunch outside too! (Please note, resources are given individually to children, they are sanitized straight after use. Playdough is thrown out immediately after child has finished playing with it.)

If anyone is stuck for reading books you can access free ebooks by Oxford Reading Owl on this link. The books are colour banded like the colours we use in school. You can try your child on the next colour if they are showing that they are ready.
